Untitled
First met- awkward; drowning in silence (quite literally).
For many minutes, nothing but fingers tapping parquet
Fighting an inner urge to wipe away the face.
Fairly well acquainted- hands still behind backs,
Failing to relinquish the private obolus;
Fanciful farces for neutrality’s sake.
Fearing to understand. No more. NO MORE!
For the skin lies bare.
False notions exploded away. Every
Fragment of prism light sliced thinly.
A time comes yet,
That separation seems futile-
Violent seas have battered the limestone cliffs
Exposing the granite.
Forced to crumble; back to the open sea. Fear
Friendship’s sparkle turning to a glimmer;
Finally dull, buried by time.
