Reflection of Wednesdays and Saturdays
6 O’clock:
Hands swipe unwittingly;
Lazy eye opens.
Gears like rosary beads;
Springs like snakes,
Darkness.
12 O’clock:
Jaws crush asunder
The heart.
Knowing fate-
The black contract two hands signed;
Binding sinner to sin.
Brew of blood and oath
Once drunk, leaves unclean.
6 O’clock:
Returned to the corridor
Of only closed doors;
World of closed doors.
Windowless, frameless,
Suffocating.
In unholy baptism,
Detached ears, eyes, nose, tongue,
Nerves.
12 O’clock:
Whistling Will-O’-Wisp;
Choir of ooze and sludge.
A soul’s been sold-
Nay, given to the Devil.
